Best Gifts for Three Year Old Boys

My son is 3 years old. Before his 3rd birthday, I have had lots of friends and relatives ask what are the best gifts and toys for a 3 year old boy as they don't have a clue what to get him. Therefore I have compiled a list of top gifts and toys for 3 year old boys based on the toys my son currently loves and and plays with.

The best toys you can buy a 3 year old boy are quite often car and vehicle related. My son is car crazy. He can't have too many. He has lots and lots and puts different ones in his pocket when we go out and takes one to bed at night.

His grandma is buying him a toy garage for his birthday which is he so excited about. So a garage is a top toy. His other grandma is buying him a big red fire engine which he absolutley loves as well.

Other great vehicle gift ideas include remote control cars, racing tracks, diggers, trucks (these are also great for using in the sandbox and in the dirt!!).Dump trucks are brilliant. They can be used to cart things around the house and are great for outdoor play. 3 year old boys will love them.

3 year old boys are often very active (my son is always on the move). Other great toys to get 3 year old boys are toys they can use outdoors.

My son received is first scooter for his 3rd birthday. He loves it and got on it straight away and started to ride it. We practised in the back yard but it wasn't long before he was zipping around everywhere on the scooter. Another idea is a tea set. There is one he plays with a lot at his Grandmas house. He really enjoys making tea for everybody and pretending to drink it. He enjoys it so much we have asked a relative to buy him his own for his birthday.

My 3 year old has a huge imagination at the moment. He likes lots of pretend play. So like to fix things and to make me better (like a doctor).

He also likes puppet shows so a puppets and a puppet show theatre would be a fab gift.

My son has had a wooden train set since he was 2 1/2 and he still loves it so it would make a fantastic gift for a 3 year old boy.

My 3 year old loves putting the tracks together and will play for a long time pushing the trains around it. Its also a toy that they have at the playgroup we go to and all the boys hover around it.

Trains are a firm favorite with 3 year olds and there are tons of cool train toys that 3 year olds will love.
