How to get fit quickly?
Getting fit does take time, effort, perseverance and determination. However there are exercises you can do that will get you fit more quickly as they are more effective in working out your body.
Here are some top tips for maximising any effort you put into your workout, lifestyle and routine to help you get fit fast and with as little time as possible.

Jump Rope
Jump rope is a great exercise to get you fit quickly. It give you an all over body workout at the same time. Its an amazing cardiovascular work out, burns lots of calories and its cheap too.
If you have a backyard and a jump rope you can exercise everyday. Its perfect for all level of fitness as you can do as much or as little as you want and take it at the pace you want to as well.
Running
Running is my exercise of choice. I go every other day and for me its a perfect exercise for getting fit quickly. Running gives you an amazing cardiovascular workout in a short space of time. It burns off calories fast. All you need is a good pair of running shoes and some comfortable clothes (most people already have these in their wardrobe) and away you go.
It can fit into most people schedules. I go for 20 minutes every other day normally in the morning. Again it can suit most people's levels of fitness. If you've never jogged before start slow and short and build it up.
I love running with my ipod, listening to my favorite music and pounding the streets.
Strength Training
Improving your strength with some weight training sessions will help you get strong and more powerful thereby improving your sporting performance and getting fit more quickly.
You can create a small workout at home. Get some dumbells to suit your size and build, do a little bit of research and start working out. Remember, consistency and persistance is what it takes to see results.

Cross Training
Cross training has lots of benefits to help you get fit quickly. Again, by ensuring you do different exercises it works all different areas and muscles of the body increasing your effectiveness and results. Also, you can work out different muscles on different days allowing them to muscles to rest and recuperate. It also stops you from getting bored.
Some different ideas include: swimming, home workouts, yoga, stretching, running, walking, skipping, skating.
Keep Active All Day, Everyday
Throughout the day there's lots of different ways to keep active, raise our heart rate and help ourselves get fit quickly.
Ideas include:
Walk everywhere - walk instead of driving, Use the stairs instead of the lift, take a walk at lunchtime at work, walk around the office or home.
Play with the Kids - Kids always want to play. If you have kids, keep them and yourself active. Take them swimming. Run races. Play Ball. Dance around the living room. Play chase. The opportunities are endless.
Dance - Put some music on at home. Dance when your getting ready for work. Dance while your doing the housework. (Doing the housework is a good way to keep active too).
Keep active while watching TV : Can you do some situps while watching TV. Or some stretching. Even flexing the ankles helps!

Great hubpage Lou1842, you really have put some interesting info on here. I had never thought of using a jump rope before, sounds like it would be a great exercise to do especially because of how it works out all of the body. I don’t know about you but I’ve always found that a great way to start or even finish an exercise is to drink a fruit smoothie because they are so good for you with all the vitamins and minerals they carry. I think along with scientist that it a great way to keep your body to the best of its ability.
